Sports
The Sports Complex was established in 1983 to elevate Mongolia's reputation through major sports, train top athletes, provide residents of the province and mine employees with proper and effective use of their free time, and offer training and fitness for the general public.
In 1990, the first joint sports club in Mongolia, the "Khangardi" club, was established. EMC employees, citizens of Orkhon Province, children, and youth practiced 26 sports, including freestyle wrestling, boxing, judo, archery, and fencing, and achieved significant success internationally.
The complex has produced five Honored Coaches of Mongolia, 15 Honored Athletes, 32 State Medalists, 190 International Masters, and 318 Masters of Sports. Athletes from the "Khangardi" club have won medals at five Olympic Games, 14 World Championships, 425 International Tournaments, and numerous National Championships, accumulating over 600 medals.

Erdenet Mining Corporation received the trophy to be kept permanently at the "Miners' Sports Festival 2022," organized as part of the 100th anniversary of Mongolia's mining industry development.
